SHEPHERDSTOWN — On Thursday evening, the Stubblefield Institute for Civil Political Communications at Shepherd University shared a public discussion called “Overcoming Division: Strategies to Stand United” at the Frank Arts Center Theater.

This event was part of the Stubblefield Institute’s American Conversation series, where guests come to have civil discussions about important topics.

E.J. Dionne Jr., professor in the Foundations of Democracy and Culture at Georgetown University; Ed Goeas, former president/CEO of the Tarrance Group; and Louis L. Reed, a leader in the field of social impact, were invited to take part in the conversation about the political division in the country.
