SHEPHERDSTOWN — The third annual “Not Your Parents’ Debate” was held on March 1 by the Stubblefield Institute Civility Club.
Four students — Evie Blodgett, Josiah Wink, Zayd Alnabulsi and Alonzo Perry — discussed three main topics during the event. They all had different opinions and viewpoints and showed how people can discuss politics in a civil manner.
“It’s an opportunity for students to discuss political issues,” said Alison Mee, the communications and events manager for the Stubblefield Institute. “They model having a polite conversation about political issues.”
