SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Shepherd University President Mary J.C. Hendrix recently announced the formation of the Bonnie and Bill Stubblefield Institute for Civil Political Communications.

“We are profoundly grateful to Bonnie and Bill Stubblefield, who made this institute a reality with a generous three-year gift,” Hendrix said in a news release. “How we, as citizens, persuade, advocate and converse with one another across competing opinions is of utmost importance to the future health of our democracy.
